A Cowboy's Love

With all my heart I have loved one man Wild my heart would beat for him But he is gone now and I am not sure I will ever understand My mama told me never fall in love with cowboy Their hearts are as broken as the soles of their cowboy boots And their eyes are as cold as the barrels they shoot But it is a cowboy’s love that speak to my heart The smell of country air And the gentle touch of a strong hand But he is gone now I am not sure I will ever understand Sunsets and cold mountain mornings are all he cares for now He travels the lonely roads in Tennessee And I am not sure if he will ever love me But I will always thee My mama said dry your eyes she has always been so wise For when one love flys south on the wings of a dove Comes the promise of new love
