A Constant Conflict

When did an opinion become a fact
To be shattered with no regard,
No evidence for your “proof.”

Free speech a death warrant,
A lie to our face as you say
We accept everyone.

A campaign for equality
A struggle for power
That will never come to pass.

Or emotions of children a string
For you to tug in any direction,
So no one can fight back.
