Notes About The Poem

Finding a compentent therapist is always a blessing during turbulent life transitions.

A competent therapist and confidant

Get help with thought patterns all new
From the social worker guru
Talia Green's expertise
Helps seekers find peace
And implodes thinking that's cuckoo

I think that in today's world with so much coverage of harm and trauma, that our eye-brain interface can see many things not really there. It happens all the time really. Thanks for sharing that funny little tidbit. With poetry, once we put it here, what you and others think about it can vary quite a bit. It's a great thing.

Hello Duke, I smiled when I read your poem because I am a therapist by trade. Sounds as if Talia is an amazing therapist. - Blessings, Daniel

Daniel, she was a very pleasant and affirming individual. I have a lot of respect and admiration for therapists. You all must know on some level what what people need to do who are looking for help, but helping them go down that road takes a great deal of patience and careful commenting that helps and doesn't hurt. Marvelous to see the good you do.

Hi, hope everything in your world is awesome. When I was a teenager I thought I could be a therapist. Then I thought NO ??

Hi Debbie. I'm retiring at the end of this month. It's a bit disappointing in that I thought I could do some really great things....but I started the process and others will have to take over. Funny that I just can't tolerate work anymore. It's very strange how the body and mind just reject work at some point. So, if you can even be a little bit of a therapist, that is a good thing for the people around you! I miss seeing you here and hope you are well.

I went to a therapist once. She didn't have much of a knack for it, so I made her laugh telling jokes for an hour. I think I brought her out of depression. Lol. It sounds like you found a valuable healer.

Sounds like you gave her therapy. Laugh therapy is amazing. There are a lot of very poor practitioners out there. So the first thing anyone should contemplate is how to find and recognize the right kind. There is a real shortage of qualified therapists. I see a lot of people who need help.

I hope you are not seeking therapy but you seem to know a lot about Talia Greene. Good for you if you found any type of health professional good at what they do. I wish I would find someone! I wonder if there any miracle workers out there. I like your well rhymed limerick, Duke

Therapy has been especially helpful during times when matters cause a lot of stress. For example: switching careers after losing one, figuring out what really happened during childhood, and deciding to retire. Any big life event or dealing with relationships that seem troublesome. The behavioral aspects are quite interesting and much more important (I feel) than medication...although sometimes that is very useful and important.
