A Coke and a Smile
I wish to lean towards the extraordinary
Just a bit beyond mundane and ordinary
All the while avoiding stupidity
As I move through life's problems with fluidity
Being bold enough to avoid my passivity
So that I can approach my human capacity.
Without being consumed by my own naivety
No excuses
I'll find the answers
I'm one of the problem solving dancers
I tip toe beyond my mind shaped prisons
Gliding through life's inevitable seasons
Everything that happens
Happens for so many different reasons
So I'll stand up
Wake up
Get up
And get to it
I'll make the best of it
not trying to avoid it
Or being afraid of it
Full force when needing it
Holding back nothing
Yet willing to give away all of it
Because I'm borrowing it
None of it
Belongs to any of us
Some are passengers
Others of us
Are driving the bus
Let's make the trip good
Don't be afraid of being generous
Celebrate others
Forget being envious
By leaning towards your you
You too can live it
Breathe it
Seize it
Be in it
Move through and beyond it
Together we can celebrate it
You me and all of it!
All because we leaned just a little bit.....
Yes we can say we've done it
It's the best
That's all there is to it
After all "it's the real thing!" isn't it?
