A Child's Thanksgiving Prayer
The children at the table,
all bowed their heads to pray,
and said what they were thankful for,
on this Thanksgiving day.
Then last to speak
was little wide-eyed Pegs,
"Thank you, Jesus," she prayed,
"for making turkey legs."
