A Child's Christmas
A little boy stayed up one Christmas eve
Because in Santa Claus he did believe
He had heard rumors that Santa didn't exist
But all of these rumors the lad did dismiss
But as he waited he fell fast asleep
Then was awakened it seemed at around 10:45
And he opened his eyes and took a peek
And there to his amazement and surprise
Santa appeared before his very eyes
He watched closely as the stockings were filled
This wondrous sight did give him a thrill
Then up through the chimney St Nick disappeared
And off he rode with all his reindeer
The little boy smiled, his heart was content
Though a bit sleepy that didn't prevent
him from having a wish come true and a promise kept
He had seen Santa Claus, in dreams as he slept
