A Cheesy Situation

There was a mouse
Freezing in the house
Reason for the cold
His spouse was never told
About the tease
Holding the keys
To the cabinet filled with cheese
Now this tease
Did as she pleased
Holding the Swiss
Hostage from the Mouse’s Miss
“I am not your Miss!!”
Conversed the spouse with a hiss
“Remember when I gave you a commitment kiss?”
Reflecting on the time
And nothing to decline
Realizing she had too much wine
Not one of his lines
Deciding to confront the tease
Doing as she please
Holding hostage the cheese
“I do not know who you are
Wanting to be a star
Sitting at the bar?”
Now the tease did not take this too well
That she did not ring his memory bell
“I have the cheese
And I do as I please”
She walked away
Still having the cheese on her tray
Knowing things in his relationship were not okay
Returning the mouse
Found an empty house
You see the spouse
Left the mouse
Grabbing the wine
Going to dine
With the tease
Holding the keys
To unlock the cheese
As for the lonely mouse
No longer having a spouse
He found the couch
Relaxing in a slouch
Then suddenly screamed,
“Ouch!”
In truth it was a kitten
Being quite smitten
“It was time to get out”
Stated the spouse in a pout
“You’re safe with me,”
Gleamed the tease in glee
“No cats around
And we have the only cheese in town!”
