A Chance Encounter

A Chance Encounter A chance encounter on the net I celebrate the day we met I made you smile, you made me cry You made me laugh, I made you sigh You made me proud to be your friend But life is short, time can't be bought It weaves a path, through hills and dales Through highs and lows on windblown sails But my Bonnie Girl, of this I’m sure You were the master weaver of that trek and wove that path with strands of gold with every ounce of joy you gave given freely and never sold But we can never stop the sands of time Fate brought you to this place to be You’ll always be my Bonnie Girl and GOD will set you free And Ill never rue the day we met That chance encounter on the net

Karen, Thank you, and glad I raised a smile in you. Just read 8 of your poems and its obvious that you have a beautiful talent inside dying to be set free. Your poem 'Until My Heart Forgets' wonderfully captures the loves joy and the pain it brings when it becomes lost love. I hope you find real and lasting love again soon sweetheart Take care Mike

Loved this notalgia-laden poem, as I spend most of my free time meditating. O the days of "young-at-heart" which you showcase efoortlessly, joyfully. I caught the ambience & I thank you both. Peace

Hi Anil and thank you. I wrote this poem for a very dear friend, who died of breast cancer a week after I sent it to her.Bonnie was always so full of life. She said it made her 'smile and cry' and I realized then how powerful poems can be in conveying heart felt feelings. The poem was written from the heart and I feel it helped eased Bonnie's passing, even if only in a small way. Her death also drove me to become a health coach and abandon my path as a space scientist. Mike
