A Cat Is a Misunderstood Creature

A cat is a misunderstood creature
Friendliness her primary feature
   They say she's aloof
   But what is their proof? --
To sit up and beg you can't teach her!

She'll curl up in your lap and she'll purr
Invite you to rub her tummy fur
   She won't lick your face
   Or drool all over the place --
Unlike her arch-rival, poor mangy cur!
