A Call Back

No flowers or balloons.
I went away.
I got some texts, while I was gone.
People hate when I don’t respond.
I went away.
That day.
And the next day, still.
I ignored them.
I didn’t have my phone…
I want to tell them…
I have memories from the hospital.
I was in the hospital.
My mom picked me up after a week.
She gave me my phone back.
I’ve always hated getting calls.
They tried.
To call.
I couldn’t answer.
