A Burning Heat
My pulse rises when I look in your eyes,
a reflex response I cannot control.
And passion's flame quickly intensifies,
to a burning heat I feel in my soul.
You need but smile, and my spirit takes wing,
soaring on the rising thermals of love.
And I swear I can hear the Angels sing,
celebrating your beauty from above.
You opened my eyes and taught me to see
that love will never assign any blame.
And I can feel the fire you've lit in me,
as desire's embers spark passion's flame.
As two eternal halves of a shared soul,
together, we are one, and we are whole.
