A Bug’s Life I hate bugs that annoy me. You know the ones. The hit and run, touch and go… hahaha. At the picnic it is the ant. They are really more than one, so ants… Everywhere, especially where you planned to sit. How do they know? Yet, put them on a farm and there is no alarm. You can watch them play and learn all day. The fly, is not my friend. He is not yours either. Did you know he poops when he lands and leaves… Whatever he has landed on, where-ever he is going. Think that through. Ick. The tick the flea and things I can not see. Biting me and leaving marks. Let me tell you, “I would like to leave you…a few.” Scorpions need a verse all too themselves. They light up under black light. That is funny to say; and to write. I have no idea why… They carry their babies on their back, so they will not eat them for a snack. Nice moms. I love spiders. Not everyone does. I can understand the anxiety. They bite and have sticky webs. They kill things and eat things. Sometimes that is not all bad. Perspective. Lastly and by far the most on top of all at the moment… The mosquito, the one. The single one that has flown past, back and forth for an hour. I know your name, I am coming for YOU! ,

even those bugs have their souls. They know how to care, to love and to hate...

Yep. We have scorps. also. If my kids find them they get 1.00. If they are in their rooms it is 5.00. amazing.. the population is near -0- now. Worked better than hiring a bug guy ten times over. lol...

Bugs are a pain for sure. I don't like spiders at all... Or snakes. I like possums because they eat ticks and kill snakes. Anything that kills bugs is ok for me... Bless you and your poem is a gem. Gina

It is the bedbug that is missing... arg. they are vampires. I thought they were a child's poem, don't let them bite.

Oh, those insects - fleas didn't make your cute poem and I couldn't help but mentally include them because I've been at war with them this summer. Got my first spider bite this year which is just now a reasonable scab. This is so cute! I absolutely loathe them in my home, all of them for none of them pay rent. Cute and true, true, true. I recently read that earth could survive without humans but not without insects. I enjoyed ... CayCay

Hello, Anne-The perfect poem for the critters trying to get in to keep warm. Hurrah for the spiders indeed-defenders of our homes!

Thank you friend. Yes, spiders... I don't know why...but I try not to kill them. They still go, when there are too many, I am all about the numbers. Ann
