A Brief Encounter

Every now and then
the stars align just right,
the perfect moment -
the perfect scene comes to pass,
a once in a lifetime chance
to live in that moment.
An ordinary day in an ordinary life,
a change in perspective,
a change in thought arrives.
Such a time has entered
and exited just as quickly.
A brief glimpse of gracefulness
and shear beauty flashed
before my eyes...
my heart beat faster,
my breath quicker.
The encounter lasted just minutes,
but left a lasting impression on my soul.
A moment - a blessing from above
allowed me to share nature in all of its glory.
How lucky a man am I?
