A Book

I think I'll write a book
One look back over my life is all it took
Will it be a romance, comedy or a tragedy
I know at time it's felt like all three.
Or maybe it might sound like poetry
Maybe this pain is only for me to see
Writing this book may set my demons free
Looking back at my life I can see
An education better than any degree
Most important lesson there is no guarantee
After all the years that it's took
To stand here today with a smile
After all at times this life seemed like a trial
Guilty or not
A death sentence is what I got
Now writing a book is something I can not
So now look back at my life and learn from me
It's only you that can set you free

Omg. This is my favorite so far. Gives me chills. A slight insight into what you have lived and felt. *applauding*

This is a wonderful poem, Tracey:) I enjoyed it immensely. If you write a book, I'll buy the first copy:) Your life, "romance, comedy, or tragedy" sounds like my life so I'm certain it would be a very entertaining book. Love the write!
