A Blue Leaf In the Center of My Front Porch

i walk outside early in the morning
and see a blue leaf in the center of
my front porch
with it i suddenly engage in conversation
talking about nothing but to you it seems
important
i guess it is because you cannot really talk
back
your listening ear seems attentive and sincere
i gravitate towards you as if you are my best friend
at times inanimate objects have the answers to it all
i try to interpret and understand your soft replies
however all i hear is the whisper of the wind
i wonder if you're a ventriloquist throwing your
voice of life around
i just sit and listen anyway because now i feel so found
