A Black Man With a White God
I have been a dark skin man
with a white god
For so long l was groomed
In another man's faith
The sufferance of time
I bared with my teeth out
Beautifying the face of pains
With false smiles
They came in peace
So they say with a meek tone
In the name of religion
and for the sake of their god
Religion, you mocker of wisdom
Like fools we followed
Like sheep led by shepherds
Humble, to the slaughter room
They dimmed the light of our future
and burn our reasoning to ashes
We abandoned our Own trade
to find gain in a blind man's business
O Africa! You forsaken culture
Your gods bleeds out
Daily the ancestors calls
Retrace your steps and return home
Why pray in the tongue of the Arabs
And embrace the Jewish laws
You prostitute your sacred ground
With the Worship of a foreign god
What shall it profit you
To lose your culture and gain the world
Haven't you realize yet
That religion is no solution to the world
