A Better Tomorrow

The future I believe we all shall see is not a hopeful one, yet I will try to think a bit optimistically! For those of you who are afraid to die, I write this message. There is hope beyond this world with all its woes, and there is good in many people. May the human bond of friendship keep us strong in brotherhood! When times get bad, we all will have to trust in one another, for no matter what, souls are eternal though flesh turns to dust! I feel this very strongly in my gut. An eye-blink is the time here that we dwell. Pure love awaits kind souls beyond the veil.

A very nice sonnet, Andrea. It would be great if the pandemic actually brought people together. The protests are dividing us. Such an awful period of time we're living in... Hugs, Carolyn

it is the plan: divide and conquer. I sincerely believe this. I know we think very differently about the pandemic being a planned event, but I am glad we can still be friends despite that.

A good reminder in sonnet form to remember friendship, trust, the brevity and preciousness of life, and the eternal nature of the soul. Great thoughts in a great write.

Just one drop in a giant ocean is the time here on earth then we all live in eternity somewhere. What will be our choice, the one we make while here on earth? I enjoyed reading this one today. Thanks for the visits to my page. Sara

Andrea, your skillfully-written sonnet is realistic about present times AND about our reason for hope. Janice

An "eye-blink" is quite true so one should focus on acquiring pleasant memories, e.g., a trip to Bora Bora rather than Florida . . . .Aloha! Rico

It was never meant to be heaven on earth, that comes later when we pass on. Well composed Andrea, better days are coming, we have to be patient. Tom

Hi Andrea. Great sonnet and better message. It reminds me of the old blues song, "Everybody Wants to Go to Heaven, but Nobody Wants to Die" Hoping you and yours are well.

feeling more and more like i kind of want to die!! when I think of what is coming, I truly do not want to be around for it. So I am enjoying what last remnants of joy are to be found . I just feel really sad for our kids and what the world is now making them endure.
