A beautiful first day of fall
colored leaves
all through the trees
the cool breezes
lift them ever so gently
before placing them
tenderly upon the ground
Leaves scurrying hastily
across the landscape
until finding a place to rest
The gift of the trees
spreading their seed
with the help
from the whirling winds
