A Beautiful Day
The beauty of the most beautiful will fade and wither and rot.
The sweet scent of floral gardens will turn sour and putrid with decay.
The flesh of the pure and innocent will be devoured by vile disgust and immoral disease.
The love of a tender heart will be greedily deceived by selfishness.
The soul once kind and free will be forever imprisoned with malice and shame.
The voice so rare will be quieted by scars of fear imbedded deep.
The hands that touched so softly will be the final feeling before the final breath.
The day he left will be the end of the most beautiful day.
