A Beautful Mystery From Long Ago
Twas early summer when she first appeared;
this lovely lady cloaked in mystery.
Her stunning beauty noted as she neared;
I thought we might create some history.
We spent that summer lost in love’s embrace
beneath the moon while bathed in star light’s glow;
intoxicated by her ebon lace,
with ne’er a thought of ever letting go.
But soon as early autumn rolled around,
this lovely lady up and disappeared
in middle of the night without a sound,
and left me here with memories revered.
These thoughts of her, does summer time rewind;
her mystery still lingers in my mind.
