A Battle of Halos and Horns

Angels watching over
The big blue world as we live
They sit on high waiting for the call
For someone they can save

They gather in the mornings
As we go about our day
Always there just observing
Always ready to intervene

At night when we are dreaming
Still they are right there
Chasing away our demons
That try to steal our faith

There is always a constant battle
Between the halos and the horns
Fighting for our eternal souls
Either blessed or damned to hell

Soldiers of the eternal light
No weapons do they need
They have the greatest power known
That's the Lord's love from above

As long as Heaven is in your heart
You truly do believe
The angels they will conquer all
They will never know defeat
