A Bad Day For Mom
A Bad Day for Mom
Back in the forties a long, long time ago
A dollar to her name, and four kids in tow,
My mother was headed to the grocery store
But needed to pee as soon as she shut the door
She stopped by the outhouse to get some relief
Outside the young ones were causing her grief
She finished up as well as time would allot
Captured her kids and had to give one a swat
She rushed off to the store for some milk and eggs
She held on to two kids while two held her legs
Reaching for her dollar, a bummer no doubt
When from her purse she pulled toilet paper out!
There was no need for her to be upset and hollar
But she had to wonder what happened to the dollar!
