the southerly blows
for Tanka-Haiku Poetry Contest-Sponsored by: Oliver Mckeithan
--------------
the southerly blows
chilling the depths of the soul
icicles, hang low.
daytime turns to night
sun hidden away inside
heavy clouds of grey.
hibernating till the days
of warmth, will rise again.
