" On Just Such a Day "

Clouds white & drifting above~ All 'round me that which I love~ This has been what my heart did say~ So long long ago on just such a day~ How this peculiar notion drifted to my mind~ I'll never really know or really wish to find~ Only that my smile is one that reminds~ Of all this of the sea & that which she binds~ Now as the waves roll gently past my beam~ All is exactly or so it would seem~ As when in my youth these thoughts were so new~ Yet such only could be choice for but a few~ Not all shall ever find in this life~ One place filled never with strife~ Yet here I find I can always play~ With laughter & warmth on just such a day~ SeaWolf ©
