unearthed belongings... gasps of pleasant astonishment; e u r e k a! white elephants galore... many treasures, too! fallen into decades of desuetude old clothes and shoes to be donated to charity; some books to be thrown away. a silver locket, I thought lost; inscribed with the word "Dreamer" on the inside. birthday gift many, many years ago from my first love. wow!

Isn't it a feeling like no other to discover pieces of yourself, your past, your heart and emotions in memento boxes, attics and other? Dealing with the stuff that needs tossing can be laborious but feeling the stuff that is emotional is glorious. This poem resonated with me. Just recently I found old pics, 4, and I spent a long time absorbing each of them. Thank you for this poem. I really like your uniform pic / very handsome says this army brat. Poetry hugs ... CayCay
