Mixed Poetry At Life's End

Life has a beginning and a end,
for me when and where will it all end by friend.
I wish I knew how many more days I have left,
like other's deaths will come like a theft.
In this crazy world I must go on,
getting crazier with each new dawn.
A world that is being eaten alive,
a world that is not for me yet I must survive.
Now at life's end,
I cannot pretend.
Death sits here and awaits,
for I do not know the times or dates.
A peaceful heaven waits,
I cannot wait to see the pearly gates.
To see the ones I have missed the most,
the love ones who I hold very close.

This world can be so difficult, it always was, but hope and love are the honey which sweetens our journey. So many of us have come to the reality that this earth is not our home, we're only passing through.

This world is indeed being eaten and the only way to survive is to hope, and be brave and talk to one another as often as we can, love

Hey Paula, I like your deep and emotive take on the contest about something everyone will feel at some point in their life, unless they die instantly, I guess... If this is for the contest then you need to write the number of which theme you used....

wow, I don't know how you did this. I think I need to reread her rules. But looks like you worked hard on this one. I do not want to know when I will die. It would be too awful knowing the date and waiting for it to come!!

Hi Paula, especially as we get older, we contemplate our mortality/life's end. I so look forward to meeting Yeshua. You've penned your poetic thoughts so artistically. Well done. Blessings ~

Dear Paula, Your poem evokes a powerful mix of emotions. The uncertainty and contemplation about the end of life are handled with honesty and vulnerability. The lines "like other's deaths will come like a theft" captures the fear and unknowingness that often accompany facing mortality. Yet, you also express strength and resilience in your determination to "go on" despite the "craziness" of the world. The anticipation of reuniting with loved ones at the "pearly gates" offers a glimmer of hope amidst the uncertainties. Paula this a personal and deeply touching poem. Your honesty and courage in exploring these themes are truly inspiring. - Blessings, Daniel
