9/11
Today is a solemn day, a holy day, a day to remember the sacrifice of more than 3000 humans
blown to pieces, those who jumped out the windows, those who were hit by bodies falling, firemen,
police, handicapped, frightened, trapped in the staircases, men, women, children falling from open
elevator doors alight with jet fuel. Today lets remember our sisters and brothers rushing to beat
a cloud of dust containing the remains of the buildings and the people, rushing through the streets
of lower manhattan to soak everyone so they wouldn't forget. There were people in that dust cloud -
people who thought they were having an ordinary day. Everywhere I turn, I know someone who
lost someone in 9/11
Dont forget. To forget is to put victory in the hands of the assassins.
Today, there is too much idle chatting about things that don't matter.
Today, only this matters.
Lets pay attention to this holy day and remember
lets
Don't forget
