600 Days Trails of Shadows
Pillar of light to so many around you
But even you can feel ever so blue
Shine your light bright until it fades so dim
The darkness sneaks up on you so grim
Your cup had run over from the pain
It's enough to drive you almost insane
Through creative expression you find ease
Fight best you can against such a disease
Six hundred days in the trials of the shadows
Strong enough you have become once more
Your sins on your scarred skin your soul swallows
Can't help but wonder the hidden reason for
Lingering essence stains everyones soul
Your deep mind never ever really shallows
Beautiful unconditional heart with a hole
Blessed to know you as one of the true hallows
Six hundred days too many for you to endure
Such trails would make anyone insecure
Yet with your heart of light you shine for all
Even when you know you risk a great fall
Six hundred days have come and gone
You've thrived no one to prove you wrong
Blessed are we who have felt your presence
In your heart and words I feel your innocence
Light of your halo and wind of your wings
You bravely face everything that life brings
For Lilah.
