5 For the Journey

have I the right
to think all things are
products of conditions

past or present
in which direction
does the real self lie

how much of what
we create will be
our descendants' must-haves

ever seeking
meaning and purpose
will it be worth the price

change will make us
we will produce change
which will be the most true

Hey, Ripple! I loved reading your well-versed poetry. These lines drew me in, in the fourth stanza, or verse; "ever seeking meaning and purpose will it be worth the price?" Thought-provoking, to say the least. Excellently penned! In my favs, plus, thank you for sharing. Best Wishes, William

It's strange that I read your poem today. I've been thinking about this a lot lately. They say Nature and Nurture plays a key role. Thank you for sharing. Nicely penned.

Yes, change is an assured thing even if it is very small and hardly noticeable. I enjoyed reading your work. Sara
