I can never get enough of your poems, or ice cream. Ben & Jerry's Chunky Monkey is my favorite. Maybe topped with lint, I wouldn't eat so much, should I try? My taste buds would be delighted. A great deterrent that lint.

You wrote 'deterrent, that lint.' I've always classified it as the 'leftover detergent' that ends up in the 'lint-trap' of my dryer. lol. Keep smiling, Gershon

Exactly! Actors back then were multi talented and could sing, dance and act. Rare to see that these days. Can only think of one... Barbra Streisand and she's one heck of a talented lady.

And, of course, 'The Inspector General,' my all-time Danny Kaye favorite... Kaye and O'Connor don't get much appreciation these days -- probably because the moderns are insanely jealous of actual talent!

Yep! :-) I'm a huge fan of all the golden oldies and musical classics. Yes the part I quoted was preformed by Donald O'Connor in "Singing in the rain." Love that movie! Danny Kaye is also a favourite of mine too. No doubt you've seen White Christmas as well as the Court Jester... just to name a few :-D

By chance, are you quoting that great musical number from 'Dancing in the Rain.' It was sung and danced by Donald O'Conner, one of (I think) the most underrated entertainers ever. At any rate, if you're a fan, me too. Join the club! (And by the way, how about Danny Kaye?!)

Reminds me of our arrival in Australia, 1962. Out for a drive, we rounded a corner to see a large sign, "Ice Cream! Both flavours!" Elizabeth
