2am
Its 2am in the morning
The rain coming down in sheets
The dogs are going mad at the window
Im covering my head trying to sleep.
Lightning floods the room making shadows leap
The thunder rolls in the background
My heartrate slows to a normal beat
The dogs settle down
The windows rattle
We can rest again
As Jesus watches us sleep
