2 Suns

There are 2 suns in my universe, 1 for the east & 1 for the west.
Perhaps I should feel blessed, but i feel suffocated.
Rays from both suns stretch out to caress my face.
Meant to be gentle yet they slap me leaving deeply engraved scars.

Moons have always been the lifelong partners of suns.
There is only one moon in my universe that cannot be shared by all.
She sits in between the suns, trying to keep equal distance as they pull her to & fro.
Everyone needs & wants her.

Will the moonlight ever rub against my skin?
I doubt I'm that lucky.
I follow the shadows but when I leap for a glimmer of light it vanishes like a missing child.
Tears stream down my scarred cheeks following the winding path of envy.

Don't we all need light?
Perhaps so but I've learned to live in the dark.... When will you?
