Fleeting Visions of how this life was supposed to be
Choke me into Another Year

Unrelenting Regrets heave against
my motivation
Cornering my Resolutions like a trapped animal

Struggling to survive my Intentions gasp for air

Cringing at my Decisions
My Desperation realizes
It is the victim of my Humanity

Soaring from the past old fears of some Insanity

A Coldness from the longest of winters
Touches my Soul with its fingertip

Impossible Conclusions draw tears upon my hope

Fighting Endlessly to lose the battle…the games go on
Survival is a must though its Reasons are scarce
Love is alive though its Innocence is dead

The game plan is a void of Worthless Opportunities
My body is a void of Useless Emotions

My Destiny suffers here on the battlefield

oh, I see I liked your favorite line. That is so cool! Just finally seeing you had replied to my comment. I rarely see those replies because I don't get notifications. Do you have a favorite poem of yours that you would like me to read? In a rush this weekend and don't have much time for comments.

No worries here about comments or replies Andrea :) You are quite the busy bee here at the soup and I always appreciate your visits...my favorites are my animal poems... maybe you would like "December Moon" or "4 White Horses". You are a very talented writer, thanks for being a friend here at soup! :) C.H.

I read the upper notes also and was glad to see that this was only a temporary phase for you as it shows such despair. Here is my favorite part of your poem. This is so beautiful:A Coldness from the longest of winters Touches my Soul with its fingertip

I'm glad this outpouring of sad emotions is something of the past, Chris. This goes on to prove that poetry can be a healing therapy. Fortunately most winters never last more than they should, and by the time we move out of the battlefield we realize that spring is there waiting with a welcoming smile. ~ Regards // paul

Always great to hear from you Paul :) I think poetry literally saved my life...when I felt like dying I bled out all over the paper instead of for real. Have good day :) C.H.
