23 You and Me Perfectly
It's the most beloved and recited Scripture
In the whole world
Psalm 23 a psalm of David
God's Holy word
And its no wonder that as human beings
The number 23 has significant too
For it's the number of pairs of chromosomes
That make up me and you
Its not a coincidence
Its all a part of God's plans
For He is the Creator
The Shepard and protector of man
He's our Perfect Provider
As we want for nothing at all
He lets us lie down in verdant pastures
Near perfect waterfalls
Just remember to be good sheep
And not act like goats
Be obedient followers of His teachings
And don't rock the boat
He'll restore our souls
As only God can do
He'll lead us down a path of righteousness
For His namesake true
Now mentally, spiritually
And emotionally at our very best
23 you and me perfectly by God
Now blessed
And when we walk through the valleys of
Shadows, darkness, death and despair
The Lord will be our light
And we have not the spirit of fear
Evil is no longer a concern
For the passion of Christ in us now burns
And His instruments to protect us
Within and without
His rod and staff to comfort us
With nary a doubt
He prepares a table for us
In the presence of our enemies
Anoints us with oils and gives
Overflowing cups of abundancy
The Angels Goodness and Mercy
Will follow us for all eternity
As we dwell in our Father God's house
Forever in victory
Free from fear, free from friction
Free from the past and now spiritually fed
23 you and me by God now perfectly led
