20 Years From Now

Walk softly o'er me on newly laid sod
Kneel down and pray for my departed soul
I know now that I will be with my God
But my earthly remains lie in this hole

You can come anytime, I'll still be here
I love to hear your voice so soft and low
Talk about the old days we held so dear
And laugh about the people we both know

Read my epitaph carved on granite stone
I think you'll agree that it hits the spot
With an easy meter and upbeat tone
Reminds us of the days we'll miss a lot

"I lift my glass with a toast and a wink,
We have had the best of it all I think."
