19-1-17 Not the 20-1-17
19-1-17
The sun is shining, but it is not hot! I can really say it is not.
So I shall take a break today. And have a warming meal I say.
So, at 1.30pm it was today. At Morrison’s café I meant to say.
I was waiting for my meal. When the fire alarm went off today
Alarm bells rang out in a loud peal. I had to leave before me meal.
Of course I was almost last to leave. I went slowly at my top speed.
Others were outside you know. I joined with them. I did just so.
It was of course a false alarm. No one came to any harm.
The travel department was to blame. But I am not giving any name.
As will not cause embarrassment or any shame.
Soon we all were going back. At dead slow, I was at the back.
Before I could regain my seat! My meal number was called out for me to greet.
I waved my walking stick in the air. Shouted, ‘house,’ as I’d soon be there.
Soon I was sitting down with my meal. As no one else, it tried to steal.
We all could eat away I say. Now I’ve dined I’m off out.
First to the freezer centre no doubt.
I’m glad there was no fire today. Or wife’s ice cream would melt away.
And Morrison’s would be no more.
The shop where I go every week, I’m sure.
And that’s the lot I have to say, about the excitement I experienced today!
(Well I did run out of fuel tomorrow, and had to call the AA.
However that was the 20-1-17 and that was yesterday.
I am sure there were more important things happening somewhere.
Was there not?)
