Today’s the day it’s got to be done
To see the one I love out of everyone
Outfits are ready, nostalgia is free
Everyone will see who I used to be
Shorts on with the chains and ties
Vest top ready to show I survived
Make up set, black eyes too
Im so proud I made it through
2002 my life begun,
Her music my friend before anyone
“Complicated” play it loud
Being her fan has made be proud
In the car, were nearly there
Memories make me shed a tear
For all that’s been and yet to come
Her music still my friend before anyone
Stage is set its nearly time,
When I see her I think I will cry
16 year old me was very shy
16 year old me wanted to die
Oh my god she’s finally there
I can’t help but cry and cheer
Sk8ter girl, that used to me
I told you before, nostalgia is free
22 years have passed me by
22 years she’s been by my side
22 years her music has played
22 years, she’s the reason I stayed
Now it’s done and time to head home
My heart is filled, emotions are showed
“What the hell”, we sang it loud
16 year old me I hope I made you proud
For all that’s past and yet come
I still love her before anyone
Her music my friend, that much is true
22 years I made it through
So this is my note to who I became
Her music still playing to keep me sane
I’ll say it again for all to hear
