-yet-

i held your feet, yet still you flew
   NO-
i’ve never met a bird like you

i dried your tears yet still you cried
   YES-
hope would have been a better guide

you grasped my hand, yet i let go
   O-
i wish you knew the things i know

you craved the rain, yet i saw sun,
   I SHALL-
see your smile when the stars have spun

your glass ran out of sand
                   before I could prepare-
   BUT
Sensing time amidst the storm
                   proves there’s faith to share

This is such a touching tale of loss and irrepressible faith. Well done!

Very sad, Laura. But I like the positive ending.
