-a Rider's Drumming Tune-

Listen to the muffled padded strumming

of hooves beating the ground with a thumping sound,

Playing out a galloping tuneful drumming,

As rider and horse become one with freedom found.

No soulful words are needed to describe that refreshing air,

A scene harmonious, of sensing flair

    With natural musical reflections

    And throbbing muscular pulsations

As rider and horse become one in cause,

With pounding echo's, providing the applause,

Bridling saddled ovations, to the Lord Father's Outdoors.

Hi Chris, This is a well written piece. I like how you use the words to create authentic sound effect. "hooves beating the ground with a thumping sound".

Dear ,Dear Kim as usual You have captured that exhilarating feeling of Rider as one with that Magnificent Animal called a Horse created to serve man, with a gap in his jaws to take the Bit and no nerve endings in teeth, mane or tail, Thank-You Lord for the Horse.
