----Occupy: the Soup -------

Infuriated by greed
so we Occupy city streets
tired of being lied to
divided by tyranny
of the Elites
sickened by offshore banks
ran by gangs
known as the Fed
while political infidelity
shakes the White House bed

What happened to the basic foundations
for which this nation was built?
maybe the people’s aggravations
will identify our leaders’ guilt

No justice lies within this
“heads they win; tails we lose”
so now we take a stand
against their scam
because we’re through with the abuse

Wall Street was occupied by I, until a gestopo cop nearly gave me a black eye, but to tell you the truth, I was only passing by. Now I'm more active trying to expose all the lies. This is a great write. Think I'll pass it along with the hope that others will join in our song.

JS I really like how you compare the government with gangs and you are right the leaders of any country in the world are no better than any gang out to take advantage. I added you as a fav poet.

YEP, you got it. Our leaders are scamming us. Congress are big hypocrites and they only seem to care about 1% of the population. THEIR side!

Good Samaritan Hospital....newborn class of 1968, and you? This is a very well-written political piece on how so many of us feel about our financial culture. I especially like the reference to flipping a coin...Did u ever stop to wonder if they actually DO flip a coin? it is quite possible if you look at the track records of the Washington flip floppers! So..I will go thru your poem and restate my similar emotions-infuriated, tired, sickened, taking a stand, sick of the abuse! Great write!
