To say that Guru Thakur is a professional in just one trade would be an insult to him. Thakur is currently a scriptwriter, actor, playwright, lyricist and poet. He also began his career as a cartoonist, a newspaper columnist voiceover artist and caricaturist. Even though he may be a jack-of-all-trades, he has become most known as a lyricist, poet and scriptwriter.

Thakur was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Some of his major achievements throughout his career include writing the scripts for some famous movies, shows and plays. He has won multiple awards for his outstanding work throughout his career.
