See my latest article where I have formally introduced the new prosimetrum, Excire:
Excire: A Prosimetrum of Breath and Drift | PoetrySoup.com
Definition: A prosimetrum is a prose and verse composition, but unlike haibun and Tanka prose (examples of this), Excire consists of a vignette FOLLOWED by a Suzette Swan Arc poem. The length is immaterial, as long as the whole is a balanced creation.
Also see the following article (April 2025) where the idea for this form was first introduced:

Ghairo Daniels, I think that you have posted this on the wrong thread - maybe you meant to comment on the forum discussion regarding plagiarism? Thank you for your thoughts on the matter, Ghairo.
I found this read useful. Agree totally with paying respects re: when inspired by someone else’s writing or even when someone highlights a lost thought, it is only respectful & fair to give recognition. I personally find it irritating when poets are inspired by another, or use their phrasing, then do not credit originator. It is no problem to build on an idea, after all this brings human evolution & expansion : but to evolve an individual Self, we need to go within & find our own unique gems - since they are there : it is just that some poets & other artists are lazy & want quick recognition for egoic purposes. I’ve noticed that older poets “steal” from Gen Z’s/millennials, without any acknowledgement (no, I’m definitely not a Gen Z ) To conclude this rant, my knowing is that Divine created us to be unique for His-Her enjoyment, so why not give Him-Her his due, & try writing from scratch without waiting for another to present first. Thankyou 4 posting, Suzette.
