This is my Trilogy Poem, representing Duty-Honor-Country on the 250th Birthday of the United States Army::
A Trilogy Poem, Spence Style by Joseph S. Spence Sr.
Duty
Called from dawn’s breath to the twilight flame,
Bearing burdens without whisper or name,
Marching the oath where valor became.
Honor
Forged in the fire of conscience and creed,
Holding the line where others concede,
Wearing the truth in each selfless deed.
Country
Crimson and stars in freedom’s embrace,
Guarding the soul of this sacred place,
Standing as one, time cannot erase.
