Sesta rima is a six-line stanza with the rhyme scheme ababcc. It usually moves like a quatrain followed by a closing couplet, and in English poetry it is often associated with Shakespeare's Venus and Adonis, which helped make the stanza widely known as the Venus and Adonis stanza.

The sparrows shook the dew from every tree;
