Hindi Poetry (Shayari) on the Urdu Websites

Like other languages around the world, the history of Hindi Shayari or poetry shares its origins and influences with other linguistic traditions of Urdu-Hindi-Hindustani mix genre. This was the later transformations done to the traditional artistic work. Many Urdu Websites provide good collections of this work today along with the audio and video clippings of the events held to present the shayaris.

Hindi shayari started very long time ago with different cultures all over the world started to adapt it verses. It has a direct connection to the Islamic history as it forms the base to poetry writing. This is very simple and easy to understand for all the readers and also was very beautiful and melodies when compared to the shayaris in other languages. It is the basic ingredients of the poetry, which forms the base to it. The verses of it are coupled to form the poetry.

Earlier translation was done to Islamic poetry, which for centuries used traditional, rigid, and distinctive forms in a highly stylized way. Also the traditional poetry was built on the principle of the mono rhyme, and the single rhyme was employed throughout a poem, whether it was long or short. But with advent of Hindi shayari this tradition has completely changed which is much appreciated today globally.

Today there are many poets or shayar's that are coming with their affluent work which has both rich tradition and culture attached to it. "Khuda ke jitne roop hain
Inho'n ne khud banaye hain
Her ik khuda main sahibo
Wo sari khubiya'n hain jo
Inhain bhot aziz hain!!"

Traditionally there were many other famous poets and shayar's in the history which have contributed the best of shayris and poems to the literature. Some of the famous shayar's who have marked recognition in Hindi shayari genre are:

Mirza Ghalib: He was a classical Urdu and Persian poet from Mughal Empire during British colonial rule, and also known as the last great poet of the Mughal Era. Ghalib today remains popular not only in India and Pakistan but also amongst different communities around the world. Some of his lines:

"Peene de sharab masjid me baith ke Galib
Ya woh jaga bata jaha KHUDA nahi hai !!"

Allama Iqbal: He was a philosopher, poet and politician. He is considered as one of the most important figures in Urdu literature, with literary work in both the Urdu and Hindi languages. Iqbal is admired as a prominent classical poet by Pakistani, Indian and other international scholars of literature. In southern Asia, he is regarded as the "Shair-e-Mashriq". Some of his lines:

"Afraad Ke Hathoo Mein Hai Aqwaam Ki Taqdeer
Har Fard Hai Millat Ke Muqaddar Ka Sitara"
