BIOGRAPHY

Iron bender is an Artist Musician, Songwriter, Singer, Instrumentalist and Arranger. He is also known as the Rasta commando due to his physical appearance and his vigorous demonstration while performing on stage. He has always critical, advisable and warning messages to the world political and religious leaders that he considers as the root and origin of all the conflicts, wars, unexplainable problems and incurable diseases of humanity. Mamadou Koussé is his real name and he is a native of the village of Daka which is the department of Tougan in the province of Sourou in Burkina Faso, a West African French speaking country. He came early into English Language and was even subscribed in ‘The American Cultural Center’ in Abidjan-Côte d’Ivoire since 1987 to 2004 where he really developed and perfected his English through his personal effort. His first musical album CRIME was recorded in Studio GRENIER, released in 1999 and distributed by SHOW BIZ in Côte d’Ivoire. NON VIOLENCE and MANTCHI were released in 2004 and 2008 in Ouagadougou-Burkina Faso and distributed by SEYDONI respectively. He has also participated in many musical compilations with (Coalition Integre du Burkina, Hymm de la Paix etc) Though Iron Bender is self-educated so seeking for knowledge, wisdom, truth and his interest in the English sent him to almost all the West African English speaking countries. He admires great scholars and international writers like (Shakespeare, Edward Lear, Chinua Achebe, Prof. Joseph Ky Zerbo, Amadou Kourouma) He now shares his experience in Burkina Faso by organizing inter-school English completion each year just to promote this language of Shakespeare in a French speaking country. He doesn’t consider himself as a writer or poet but he is fully aware that his inspirations, ideas and imaginations could be helpful and should therefore be shared by all. ‘REAP WHAT YOU SOW a short play and 28 POEMS’ his first book was published in Ouagadougou Burkina Faso in 2012. He is now waiting for the publishing of his new book ‘POEMES HUMORISTIQUES ET THERAPEUTIQUES DU BURKINA by ‘Edition Harmmatan Burkina’. His new album of 10 songs programmed, played and self arranged is waiting for Mixing and Mastering in France by JP a professional sound engineer and shall also be released this year 2015.
