Squall's Godspeed

Clouds heartshaped breaking
The downpours between us separating

Wrong to say I am in love
Wrong to seep in with this water

that's kissing and falling.
God, you drip so much into me.

The petrichor ~ on me ~ you fear
The petrichor ~ on you ~ you fear

The sky's cracks will slowly heal to blue
I will remember tight each tear for you

Since the rain overflows
My darling, go

I just heard a heart break, I heard it in your words, each line further covering me in pain's bleak, heavy weight. You make the reader feel it. I had to read it twice, and it was the second time that it fully impacted me. Poetry hugs ... CayCay

It seems some places have had a lot of rain this summer and some places need some to help put out the raging wildfires somewhat like love while it is raging for one person the other one desires to walk away. Thanks for sharing this one with us. Sara K
