My irrelevant heart

Exhaustion sets in
My walls crumble
I’m bursting with sin
Bound to stumble

I can’t stay upright
My knees, locked tight
A royal mess
To my peer’s delight

I plead for a truce
No need to seduce
I’ve given my all
My greatest produce

Manipulative brains
Need not ever strain
To highlight disgrace
And claim you, insane

A sitting duck
What the f***
Given my all
Yet, I’ve been plucked

I’ve been traded
Clearly jaded
Shut down, discarded
My truths sedated

My Irrelevant heart
Has me confused
Just as I start
It’s clear, I’ve been used

To be targeted by a sniper of manipulation is the worst form of torture. They are powerful cowards who use deceit as their ammunition of choice. Thank you for writing with such eloquence. By showing them for the demons that they are, you reclaim what they have taken! Being your own sheild takes real courage, allowing others to help you hold it, is when healing begins..... Warmly A.S.

Its never a pleasant feeling to be used, leaving us questioning whether our heart is irrelevant etc. you’ve expressed in such a lyrical manner. I absolutely love the cadence of your rhymes, so powerful and moving with a soulful touch. Pleasure reading your work. Sending you light always
