It Took My Breath Away
It took my breath away
When I saw you
And since then all my thoughts
Have been about you
It took my breath away
When you first smiled at me
And since then all my smiles
Have been for you
It took my breath away
When you told me that you love me
And since then my heart has been
Full of love for you
It took my breath away
When I realized I wasn’t your first priority
And since then I tried my best
To mean more to you
It took my breath away
When my attempts at getting closer led to fights
And since then I’ve doubted every action of mine
And every word; good or bad
It took my breath away
When you said you didn’t want me in your life
And since, every waking second
I’ve missed you
It took my breath away
When I said my final goodbye
And since then my heart has broken into a million pieces
And every piece of it I’ve dedicated to you
