Do Not Tell Me

Where were you born?
In American, Africa?
Do not tell me
you were born there

Do not tell me
If you tell me you were born
at the tail end of the universe
 a footballer you are

You tell me at the mouth-end of the universe
a seafarer you are or
tell me in the middle of the universe
tale-liar you are

In this universe, my brother
there is no place to stay
Do you see it in the sky?
waves of the sea, comets, plasma?
where is it sure,
if not in darkness of imaginations
of self-interests
precariously in balance
against the unknown
so known
